Want to Learn More About Being a Muse?
Would you like to know more about what it’s like to be a muse? We’ll be having a few gatherings where you are welcome to drop by to learn a bit more about the Girls’ Circles program and ask any questions that you may have. Keep in mind that you do not need to arrive at the beginning and stay through the end. Instead, arrive when you can and stay as long as you are free and would like to stay.
- Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Panera at Mohawk Commons Mall
- Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2-4 pm at the downtown Schenectady Central Public Library, Swanker Room
- Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Karen Draper’s home, 1076 Parkwood, Schenectady
Muses are trained in October and November, and many muses choose to assist with our annual Girls’ Day Out (GDO) event for 7th graders, which is usually held in early November at the Glen Sanders Mansion. Muses working with 7th graders will start their Girls’ Circles start after Girls’ Day Out and last into the spring. Muses for 8th grade girls (who are continuing with the program) will have earlier training and will likely start a bit earlier
Right now we are pairing muses, communicating with SCSD clinicians and administrators, and getting schedules ready. If you’re considering becoming a muse this year, please contact us as soon as possible.
