Connecting to Our Girls While We’re Apart
We’re all sad that in-school learning has ended for the school year due to Covid-19. We know that our community has many needs, including keeping everyone safe and healthy, ensuring that all of our families receive adequate food and pantry goods, maintaining as much academic learning as is feasible at this time, and coping with the stress and anxiety of this unprecedented time.
While WGGS is supporting many of these new, short-term efforts to cope with the pandemic, our core values and mission are the same. That means that we’re continuing, as always, to seek to connect with girls, support them emotionally, and help them look to the future. Part of that effort is an old-fashioned, “thinking of you” mailing to our Girls’ Circles participants. We’re sending out notes, resource information, and activities, and we’re asking girls if they’d like to correspond.
