WGGS is excited to share with you FRESH (Food Resiliency Education Socialization and Health). We are partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension and SICM to implement this program. Applications Open for 2021 Scholarship!

The Helga Schroeter Memorial Scholarship was established by the Working Group on Girls of Schenectady, Inc.in September 2019 to honor Helga, one of their founding mothers, and to keep alive her passion for socialjustice, diversity and inclusion, and nurturing the youth of our community. This scholarship is intended tofurther girls’ education or training after high school. This year's application deadline is July 1, 2021. Two members of our community are taking on new roles within the WGGS Community. Tanya Hull is beginning her term as Co-President of the Board. Tanya started with WGGS serving as a muse at Paige Elementary School and Central Park Middle School before joining the WGGS, and she has served on SCSD's Board of Education and is a member of the Adopted Not for Profit Committee with the Capital Region Chamber's Women's Council as well as an Eastern Star.
